Brunei travel report
Every bit mentioned in my Kota Kinabalu travel report, we also travelled to Negara brunei darussalam for ane day. We thought information technology would be an interesting experience to encounter this small state for a 24-hour interval, and add another country to our list. It was just a 20 min flying so it would exist a small endeavor (or so we thought).
Our way there was smooth plenty (although we did get extremely annoyed by the long waiting fourth dimension at Malaysian community, causing us to miss breakfast). Thinking nosotros were going to travel in a small aeroplane information technology actually proved to be a large jetplane, completely full with tourists.
Upon inflow nosotros travelled to Brunei's center, which was surprisingly serenity and practiced cafes restaurants were impossible to observe and so we ended up at a Cofeebean instead, finally enjoying a hearty sandwich.
One of Brunei's pinnacle tourist destinations is the water village. You can ride through information technology with a hired boat and likewise visit the nature reserve backside it.
The petrol station for boats is right on the water.
Plenty of mosques to exist seen everywhere.
And colourful displays.
This was my most dressy outfit of the entire holiday.
A petty further on was the nature reserve where we spotted some crocodiles. No pictures of that I'm agape as I did not bring my zoom lens on this occasion.
There were a few proboscis monkeys.
Enough of lizards too.
Later on we as well visited a local market, where they sold lots of dried fish.
We too visited the Imperial Brunei museum but no pictures were immune. Frankly, this museum was a fleck of a disappointment.
Looking dorsum on this day in Brunei it was all the same a practiced experience though. The people were incredibly friendly everywhere and nosotros thoroughly enjoyed our boat trip. However, the land itself (what nosotros saw of it) is a tad boring. There actually was non much to practise or to run across there and the streets were quite empty. That in itself was an experience though and we were glad to make the trip. Of course we could non travel very far from the drome, then information technology may very well exist possible that we did not see the all-time of Brunei.
Unfortunately, our way dorsum to Kota Kinabalu wasn't quite so proficient. Our plane left very belatedly due to a technical trouble, which they claimed was fixed when we set off. When nosotros were in the air for only 10 minutes though, we were advised that in that location was an 'electrical' problem and nosotros had to turn back. My married man suspected that there was quite a serious problem though, then information technology was all a bit scary. Information technology took u.s. 15 min to become back to Brunei (call up the total flight was merely supposed to be 20 minutes!). After hours of waiting nosotros finally flew back belatedly in the evening.
In the stop information technology became quite an eventful solar day and one nosotros are not likely to forget.
